How can I remove "places" from my Facebook timeline?

How can I remove "places" from my Facebook timeline?
I have already removed maps from my "favourites" but there is still the giant map on my timeline.

go to your timeline, and click on the little arrow button that is to the right of your favorites - that will open up all the favorites, and then hover over the maps one, click the pencil icon that appears, and then select "remove from timeline"
