How do you hide your friends on Facebook from people who search you?

How do you hide friends and your basic information and pages from people who search for you on Facebook??

There is only one way but that also means to put your profile in privacy. So people must be confirmed as friends before they can view your whole profile and friends. Just go to your settings and put your profile to private.

Just go to privacy settings and then personal information. You can hide your friends from there.

Robert - I tried your response but the new way it is set up does not have a "friends" section to do that.

Facebook changed their privacy settings this week and unfortunately you can no keep your friends from showing up in search results that include your profile. What you can do is keep your profile from appearing in search results by changing your Account Privacy settings.
