I would like to deactivate my Facebook account, but i would like to continue to chat with my FB friends. Is it possible?

nops. Try adding them to msn or yahoo before deactivating your account.

You should have Facebook Account to chat with your FB friends. If you don't want anymore to use facebook, then you should get your friend's YM, Skype, MSN messenger to chat with them.
