Right now we are separated & I just set my relationship status to private. I like the idea of eventually just putting it out there so people I'm not so close with, like old high school friends, know what I'm going through. But it seems unclassy.

Personally, I think your Timeline on Facebook should represent you. If you are divorced you might want to consider updating this relationship status, and choose to make your relationship status viewable by the group/s of people you want to share this with.
