Closed means you can find it in search, but can't join without an invite.
Secret means you can't find it by searching, and you still need an invite to join. Ads |

Groups can be “open,†which means that anyone on Facebook can join or view it, “closed,†which means that the admin must approve all membership requests, or “secret,†which means that it will be not possible to find the group in the searches or view it, and that membership will be only by invitation.
