How can someone send me a friend request on facebook when I have taken my profile is on privacy?
I have an account on facebook and I have it completely on privacy. Like no one can even search me but I still get friend requests from unknown people. How is that possible? Can I do anything to stop it?
And all the settings are on 'only friends' I checked and re-checked.

You cannot disallow people from sesrching you. If and when someone searched your name, your display picture, or default, will pop up, along with many other people with you name. They will click on your picture, and it will not show any information, except mutual friends, friends, and display picture, or default. They will have an option to add you, by clicking a button toward the top of the private profile that says "Add as Friend"

Hope this helps! Smile

Try this. Go to facebook, click on settings, then privacy, then search. On the search page select "only friends" in the part that says "facebook search results". Hopefully that will work for you.

I originally thought that it meant people can't search for you on facebook, but it really means that your facebook profile doesn't come up when searched for on Google or another search engine.
