Really, it comes down to the quality of your Tweets.

You can advertise yourself until you are blue in the face, but if your Twitter account lacks that something special, then you will lose those followers.

Have something to say, and people will flock to you on their own. It takes time and effort, but if that is what you want, you should work towards it.

Well what you did right here is a perfect way to get more followers... To get more followers is to follow others and hope they follow you back. In many instances you can "tweet" about something in particular...
For example, I could tweet: I love #Minecraft!" and who ever types in Minecraft will see my post and would want to follow me!

I would highly recommend using Twiends. I got 300 followers in a few hours and it's free! (there is a pay option but I wouldn't recommend using that) - it's basically a follow for follow method and it automated once you've set it up!
