What happened to Facebook privacy settings?

I have my settings on "Only friends can search for me and see me." Now I think everyone is able to view me. Is this true?? I want the old settings back!
I got a friend request so thats how I know non-friends can see me.

o, but people can still find you and send a message or friend request without seeing your profile.. you cant hide you name in a search but you can hide your pics, wall etc.

Only the style of the Facebook privacy settings have changed and you can't get em back..LOL smile....You can still select "only friends" in the search portion of the Privacy settings, just make sure after you've made your selections you hit the save button at the bottom, and then check to see how a friend/user can view you at the top of the Privacy settings icon...TYPE HOW A FRIEND CAN SEE YOUR PROFILE...it says something of that sort...hope this helps.
