Facebook tagging and check in questions.?

Just wondering, I’ve noticed for the past few weeks, one of my friends stop checking in at places on FB.
She used to do that at least once a day.

I wonder if she had changed her privacy setting to stop me from seeing her check in.
But I can still see her being tagged by a mutual friend on her page.

Let say I’m friends with ”A” and “B”.
If “A” check in and tagged “B” in the check in, will I still be able to see “A” check in via “B” profile, if she had change her privacy setting to not allow me to see her checkin?

And if “A” did change her setting to stop me from seeing her check in, would I be able to see it, when “B” check “A” in on “B” page.

I just want to know if she had quit using check in or change her privacy setting.
