My friends have had facebooks for awhile now, is it weird to just make one?

I'm a freshman in high school and I never wanted a Facebook. This year I realized I might be closer to my friends if I got one. Would people think its weird if all of a sudden I got one? They have had them for years now. I just want to be closer to my friends/old friends... I don't know if I should do it because I'm afraid it'll be like weird...

No, it's not weird. I'm a freshman too and I see people that haven't had a Facebook all these years just getting one and adding me. But the thing is, I don't know if it's like this where you live, but there's not too many people that go on there so much anymore, people mostly are on Twitter or Tumblr. But you could make one and no one would really think much of it, you aren't the only one just making one. (:

It's a good idea to have a Facebook because you can interact with your friends with a click of a mouse or you can reach them if you can't text or call them. It's a really great website. You can also play games on it and such, it's cool.
