How can I make updates from pages I've liked on facebook appear in my news feed?
My wife just joined facebook and has 'liked' a number of pages but her news feed only includes updates from her friends. What does she do to ensure that updates from organisations, companies, etc which she likes appear in her news feed as well?
We can't get 'subscribe' as an option, and when she hovers the cursor over 'like' on each page a pop-up says 'show in news feed' which is checked, so the news should be appearing. Ads |

Hover your mouse over the page name.
Click 'Subscribe'. Hopefully that works! Ads |

you might be confusing the news feed with the ticker (it's common to confuse them)
there are lots of different types of "likes" too - some will show here http://abrax.us/Facebook/EditLikes.php (based on the category assigned to them when they were created) others will only show in the ticker of their friends, not in their news feed http://abrax.us/Facebook/NewsFeed.php http://abrax.us/Facebook/PrivateTicker.php |
