How "secret" are secret Facebook groups?
Does anyone who is a contact of a member can see information or pictures posted to those groups or just its members?

Once a group is created everyone on facebook can see it whether they're a member or not. And those secret groups you're talking about aren't really secret!

Just it's members. And it doesn't appear on your mini-feed, or on your "groups X is a member of" list. Only you and the other members can access it.
