There's no way to remove it. Although for the moment Facebook did not make a clear statement in any of its official pages about how the upgrade would be deployed, and as a consequence there is a lot of false information going around, experienced users know that Facebook upgrades of this size have never been optional.
Besides, there are clear evidences that indicate that there will be no way to go back to the old Profile. Take a look at the article in the source to see what those evidences are. |

Sorry, you can't switch back. There's an article put out that says we will all be switched over to the time line eventually. Just like in their last round of big profile changes, they gave people the option in the beginning to "try it out", and then they switched everyone over, without a choice. Unfortunately, that's just the way Facebook operates. We have no real control over our pages, and just as soon as we get used to one change, they will switch it around yet again. In my opinion, time line is the worst one so far. The graphics are way too big, and with the double column, it's just way too busy, and "in your face". It's so hard to focus on the page, that it actually starts to give me a headache to look at it for more than a few minutes. I like the option to go back and check information by date, but the site was much more "user friendly" when all the information was in a single file column, and not so huge. Also beware...I've heard that all the links claiming to disable or remove the time line are spam links that will infect your profile.
