What does it mean when someone is always asking your friends about you?

I found out that a girl asked my best friend if he still spoke to me. At first, I thought that she wanted to date him and was checking to see if she had any threats but I later learned that she asked another guy the exact same thing.

Then, I posted about a man from a tv show on a friend's facebook. That same girl called someone to try to figure out who that guy was.

The only thing I know about this girl is that she thinks her boyfriend likes me. Other than that, we don't associate.

She does see you as a threat because her boyfriend supposedly likes you. She is trying to find out about you and what type of person you are. I know a lot of girls that have done this same thing to me. The reason she is doing it is because she feels that she needs to find out who you are, what you do, and why her boyfriend likes you.
