Why are there so many pointless groups on Facebook?

That everybody is a member of? The pointless groups are things like "I left my books at school today" or "I like black pens better than blue ink pens" or "I use headphones when listening to music on the computer" Whats the point? When I make a group on myspace, no one ever posts on it. But on Facebook people always do.

Facebook is kind of a waste of time. They want a lot of people in it and want to catch people's mind into these pointless groups. Without the pointless groups, Facebook is nothing.

Doesn't really matter to me. It's good humour. After all, Facebook is meant to be fun so why take everything so seriously?
