Why is life so confusing and hard!?
Okay so when I was younger around 13/14 years old I was really comfortable with people around me, I had a really close knit group of friends and many guys wanted to date me
but like I feel after going through 2 horrible break ups I have just lost confidence in myself and people in general..
i'm 18 years old now (in university) and haven't had a boyfriend in 3 years!! I don't think there is anything wrong with me.. many guys have added me on Facebook after seeing me around uni and once we get to talk the conversation just fizzles out..
it's so annoying, whenever I go out to clubs, there's always a guy trying to buy me drinks, dance with me but I just want a guy to really like me for who I am..
Many guys have said that they think i'm hot but I think I don't have great confidence it may be because i've been bulimic for about 4 years of my life..
so lost and confused, i really wanted a good start to university! i've made a couple of really cool friends but sometimes when I'm out with them, I just go into this depressed mood and I don't even know why..

Hey Lucy

Thanks for coming on here and talking about this because you are so brave and I hope you know that by doing this you are also encouraging others to talk about their issues as well. You have gone through so much and you are so young and I’m sure you are a lovely person and finding someone to love you for you is never easy, it takes time.

I think you need to build your confidence first before anything, you are important and you need to take care of yourself and once you feel confident then it’s easier to experience love confidently. I would like for you to read these factsheets and they might help you become more confident http://au.reachout.com/How-to-build-self-confidence

It’s great that you have made good friends to support you and even though your uni start wasn't what you expected that doesn't mean it won’t be good, it just means you need to try a positive approach, have a read on this fact-sheet, it might help you figure out what you can do when you get into that mood http://au.reachout.com/Self-help-strateg...depression

If you need to talk to people you can visit http://forums.au.reachout.com/ and there will be so many people keen to help and support you

I hope all goes well and that you find happiness and peace.
Take Care
