Is it possible to delete a whole year or large sections off your facebook timeline?

Facebook is an embarrassment, So I scroll down and see some stuff on my facebook that I do not want to resurface to where we are today. So, is it possible to delete them or hide them with out having to delete one by one?

you only can do it one by one

or you could hide the statuses because you have the timeline

then again really who is gonna scroll down your timeline to see old statuses
