How do i sync my facebook friends and contacts on my droid ally?

I don't get why some of my friends it automatically does and others it won't.....why is that? For example my friend dee is saved in my contacts with her phone number but my phone can't figure out she is the same dee that is my fb friend. I have fb app.

if you have the Facebook app, go to the app and go the the Facebook menu. go to friends and in the top right hand corner, there should be a sync button
