Why aren’t my facebook friends in alphabetical order by last name?

I notice that on Facebook, all my friends are in alphabetical order by their first name and not their last name. Why is that? Most phone book directories are in alphabetical order by last name but Facebook isn’t!! I don’t even know if myspace is either!

It's just how Facebook is set up. Chances are, if you're one of those people who has 3000 friends (and god knows you talk to maybe 40 of them), you'll be facebook creeping by first name rather than last.

This is because facebook don't use alphabetical order. In facebook A person who comes online (daily) Placed automatically on the top and the person who doesn't online automatically placed on last position.
