How do you hide your friends on Facebook from people who search you?

How do you hide friends and your basic information and pages from people who search for you on Facebook??
But I want my friends to see my friends.
I just don't want our mutual friends or strangers viewing them. If they aren't on my friendlist, I don't want them to see who I am friends with.

Please help!

On the top right it should say Settings
click on privacy settings
then click on "Profile"
Scroll down till u see "friends"
the click on "only friend"
now only your friends will be able to see...your friends lol
and nobody else can

Go to 'My Account' (top right) and choose 'Privacy settings'. From there, you can change most of your settings.

However, to hide your friends list, you now have to go to your profile page, hover your mouse over your friends section, and click on the little pencil image. A box with some options will come up. Uncheck the 'show my friends on my profile' option.

☻Click settings at the top right side of the page and select to mange your privacy settings by scrolling down.

☻You can also hide them by clicking the pencil icon that appears in the tab of friend box and unchecking 'Show my friends on my profile'

I have the same problem, and so far I don't think it's possible to only hide your friends list from strangers - you have to hide it from your friends as well! Seriously annoying, I'm hoping they bring the privacy option back for friends lists ASAP.
