How does facebook choose the people at the top of the chat siebar?
Im talking about the top section of the sidebar ABOVE the section titled 'more online friends'. Its apparently supposed to be people i communicate with most and majoritively is. but sometimes people appear as just one off days that i never ever speak to and barely visit their profile. Why are they there? does this mean theyve recently viewed my profile?

No. Facebook does not keep track of profile view information. They're just people you communicate with often, whether it be you view their status, or they've viewed yours.
