Can employers still look at your Facebook page if all your privacy settings are "friends only"?

Can employers still look at your Facebook page if all your privacy settings are "friends only"?
Just wondering...it's not like there's anything bad on my page, I just have a job interview coming, and my friend told me the employer likes to check out facebook pages as well as your application, and I was wondering if she could still see my page even though I have really strict privacy settings. Thanks!

No, if your privacy settings are to friends only, and you are not friends with the employer or anyone in their company, then they cannot view your profile. Be aware though, that refusing to allow them access or temporarily add your potential boss as friend for a while might result in your application being sidelined.

When I recently went for a second interview, part of the "reference" process involved me opening my facebook for the interviewer and allowing them time to view my friends and posted photographs. I was under no obligation to do this, but it reduced the references needed, and apparently if I'd refused, they'd automatically decline my application.

No they can't. If I were you I would just "clean up" my profile and make myself unsearchable for awhile. There is a setting you can use that makes people who don't have mutual friends unable to search for you. My friends who are teachers do this so their students can't find them.

No they can't but just deactivate your account until he/she stops looking for you or change your Facebook name for awhile so they can't find you.
