Do people being misled by Conservatives know what the State Department Emails actually said?

I see a lot of false claims being made about the emails by Conservatives.

Here's the emails:

At 4:05 p.m. Eastern time, on September 11, an alert from the State Department Operations Center was issued to a number government and intelligence agencies. Included were the White House Situation Room, the office of the Director of National Intelligence, and the FBI.

"US Diplomatic Mission in Benghazi Under Attack" -- "approximately 20 armed people fired shots; explosions have been heard as well. Ambassador Stevens, who is currently in Benghazi, and four COM (Chief of Mission/embassy) personnel are in the compound safe haven."

At 4:54 p.m., less than an hour later, another alert: "the firing... in Benghazi...has stopped...A response team is on site attempting to locate COM (embassy) personnel."

Then, at 6:07 p.m., State sent out another alert saying the embassy in Tripoli reported the Islamic military group "Ansar al-Sharia Claims Responsibilty for Benghazi Attack"... "on Facebook and Twitter and has called for an attack on Embassy Tripoli."

According to the emails, the state department did not know of Ansar al-Sharia's claim of responsibility until AN HOUR AFTER the attack. It was a claim made on Twitter and Facebook.

As for Obama's response, he clearly stated 14 hours after the incident that he suspected it was preplanned, not spontaneous:

"Fourteen hours after the attack, President Obama sat down with Steve Kroft of "60 Minutes" for a previously scheduled interview and said he did not believe it was simply due to mob violence.

"You're right that this is not a situation that was -- exactly the same as what happened in Egypt and my suspicion is that there are folks involved in this who were looking to target Americans from the start," Mr. Obama said."

@Dante of Politics May Cry© - I agree, it was merely a claim made on Twitter and Facebook after the attack had been already been reported to News outlets, the claim wasn't even verified at the time. This is what Conservatives are hanging this "controversy" on, it looks pathetically desperate and tasteless on their part.
@George B - Have you been in a coma for the past 11 years? Every 9/11 anniversary is riddled with threats and heightened security beforehand.

Do you have any sources to back your claim that Obama himself did not give security requested? No? A claim without premise is null.

Any terrorist is going to make claims and take credit for something or someone Else's' glory, even if they did it or not, even if they had no hands in it. It would be like a leader of a gang, taking credit for someone Else's wrong-doing by mugging someone else.

Nice try but you fail to mention that for a week in advance the media had been saying something was in the works for 9/11. You also didn't mention the requests for additional security made by our embassy people which the White House and State Department either ignored or denied.

BTW: Add that the request for additional security was a DIFFERENT embassy than the one attacked (Tripoli, not Benghazi). How about we send 10,000 marines to fortify EVERY embassy in case of attack. WHAT? We don't have ENOUGH marines for that? Oh, that evil Obama!

Clearly if Obama had "blabbed" about the Ansar al-Sharia connection, and the entire investigation, then FOX would be labeling Obama a "blabbermouth" for putting the investigation in jeopardy.

The same thing happened with the original Libya intervention, Obama was called a pussy for not invading, then as soon as he invaded the same people did a 180 turn and criticized him for attacking our poor buddy Ghadaffi. Isn't it amazing how con's are suddenly Ghadaffi's Best Friend?

It does matter to them what it says only what they are being told by Fox and the far right, bias is the word! Where some Liberals and still fewer Conservatives want to know the truth, to many they don't care just what is being told within their bias group.
If the group that did this is still free they should be looking over their shoulders, we used Navy Seals to take out bin Laden what they can expect a couple of drones with Hellfire missiles??
