Is he playing games, or did he lose all interest in me?

Okay, I'm gonna make this as short as I can. Met this guy first day of class in college (3 weeks ago), we started talking in class, then texting all day and night, then hanging out with friends and having study groups.

He'd always compliment my looks.outfits.
He always smiles BIG when I look into his eyes when I talk to him.
His friends LOVE me haha.
He teases me 24/7 and we "playfully fight" and "wrestle"

I never have done anything with him, just gave him a hug when he walks me to my car.

His friends have asked me: So what's going on with you and john? Do you guys have a thing? Do you like him? Do you think he's cute? Etc.

He asked me after we hung out one day: Sooo, do you like me yet?
I said: Hmmm idk do you like me yet?
He said: I asked you first
I said: I asked you second
He said: Hmmm then I guess we'll never know

He used to tweet me ALL THE TIME, and retweet everything I said pretty much. And he'd comment/like all my Facebook statuses.

Told me he wants a relationship, and that he doesn't want me to think he's a bad guy because I get hurt a lot.

***I haven't heard from him in like 3/4 days. He made 2 tweets though that I thought might be about me....
1) "If only she knew how I felt about her"
2) Whenever I go for a girl, she never goes for me. It's like cat and mouse games."

EVERYONE thinks they're about me.

So what gives, why is he doing this to me? Did he lose interest? Is there someone new? Is he getting scared that he likes me and I don't like him?

WHAT GIVES!

I texted him first yesterday after I saw those tweets, and he responded fine until he had to go to baseball. But I REFUSE to text him first again, That isn't me, and I want to know that he's interested in me too.

Mmmmm i say you just hang out with him again and see how he acts. If it's still the same as in he still shows interest then tell him straight out whats going on or simply ask him on a date.

Girl I was in the same situation as u he will called me and texted me every day for the first 2 weeks , he will leave me bunch of messages he also told me he was fb stalking my pictures and that any guy will be lucky to be with a girl like me and when I thought things were gonna get serious he suddenly stop calling texting out of the blue and he will get back at me in like 3 days with excuses and i only realize he was never serious it was only words ! Never actions he never made any plans to see me i felt really dissapointed and hurt cuz i was falling for this guy and I would say if this guy is really interested in you he will def ask u out and wouldn't be playing games like if he shows interested in u one day and suddenly doesn't that means something is shady about this guy I mean u should see if other girls comments or if he talks to other girls online I would say becareful and don't get hurt .
