Can you block someone on Facebook, even if you`re not friends with them?

as in you have a ton of common friends with them, but you don`t what them to see what goes on on your profile, when your common friends like or comment on your photos? and if so, do they get notified?

Yes you can block a person in facebook.
To block a person go to their timeline at the right side u'll find a star marked icon 'click' on it u'll get numerous options but select 'Block this person',facebook will ask ur confirmation to block the person,you accept it and from then u'll not be having any contact with that person;as well as they can't find ur name forever...

yes you can block them and they won’t be notified that they've been blocked.
