How does one go about getting an online girlfriend or romantic penpal?
I'm 26, male, single and i think my facebook friends are lame. I know this sounds like a desperate plea for help, but it's really not; i simply have no one to talk/relate to. Also, I'm a bit of a natural when it comes to writing (stories, poems) so I'm not boring.

Haha, probably join some kind of forum and ask the question you just asked?! ... Incidently, my answer to this would take the form of a question.. Why do you seek only an online/letter-writing girlfriend? Is it a subconscious experiment to hone and test out your writing abilities? Is it because you find yourself going online and then end up feeling disappointed because you don't find what you are looking for on there? If so, why not turn your computer off and pick up a pen and write your novel or poems, or else get outside and maybe find some inspiration and possibley a real girlfriend whom you could then win over with your prose and romance? .. I think it quite sad and a waste that you want to shower a stranger (online person) with your poetry, when you must surely deserve a person by your side in the flesh or if all your poems are sent to just that one person, you won't get the credit you deserve for them.. Why not try an online poetry forum? (I think I may do that myself, actually, haha)

Have you tried online dating? You'd be able to meet people with similar interests, and you'd already be familiar with each other if you decided to meet IRL.
