How do i join a group and post on a groups wall without it showing up on my newsfeed on facebook?

everytime i join a group or post on a groups wall it publishes it on my newsfeed on my home page, just before i click ok to post the message it asks me if i want it published on my homepage and i click no but it does it anyways???? facebook is a nightmare!!

just join the group or post what you want and let facebook publish it as a newsfeed .
now go to your profile page , at the right of the newsfeed of joining of the group or posting , just click on the Remove button and no one will know that you join or post anything .
