There's a link that enables you to remove Timeline from Facebook, has anyone used it, or is it a scam?

It's not legit - that's a virus that will hijack your account. There is NO way to get rid of Timeline - all Facebook profiles will be on Timeline. You don't have any other option

there is no way to remove it - everyone is being converted to the timeline - it's the new look for facebook, not an optional update - they are now forcibly converting everyone slowly without your consent

this guide will help you learn how to use it

You didnt post a link to the site in question. Theres more than one site claiming to offer this service. Some of those sites are legitimate, and some are not. None of the sites will actually let you completely remove Timeline from your Facebook account. The illegitimate ones may install a virus or trojan on your computer. The only way to do that really is to delete your account.

What some of these sites offer is a way to view Timeline pages in a format similar to the old style profiles. One such site, that I know for sure to be legitimate, as its passed all the anti-virus and site safety scans is FB Purity: http://www.fbpurity.com/disable-timeline
