Am I forever doomed with the facebook timeline?
I clicked on my profile and I found it timeline! I didn't ask to get the timeline, so why did it change by itself? Also facebook says I've got one week until my timeline comes live. Does that mean that I can't change it back?

Time Line is here to stay. Well, at least until facebook decides to change it to something else. There is no going back to the older versions.

That's what happened to mine Sad No, I don't think you can change it back, but some of my friends still haven't got it, but I didn't ask either. I'm not sure if making a new account will be set back to the original profile, but even so, Facebook intend to make this a compulsory new profile, and most people have now been switched. I've now got used to my timeline, and I think that actually it is more attractive, though maybe not as easy to use at first. It may look daunting, but just give it a try, and you'll soon get used to it Smile

there is no way to remove it - everyone is being converted to the timeline - it's the new look for facebook, not an optional update

this guide will help you learn how to use it

http://abrax.us/Facebook/TimelineGuide.php

it will take you a few days to get used to the changes, but overall, it's much better than the old profile

you can trick your browser into making it so you see your old profile, but everyone else will still be seeing your timeline profile, along with anything you dont want them seeing, and you wont be able to see anyone else's timeline profile then either

On April 16, 2012, everyone on facebook will be required to change to timeline. In the meantime, many apps and games require changing to timeline, so you may have chosen it without realizing. To others, your profile will look like it used to until April 16, when it goes live. This gives you time to rearrange and customize your timeline

There is no way to change back to the old profile. Everyone will see your old profile until you click publish or your 7 days expire. Welcome to timeline!

Its not possible to completely remove Timeline, but you can easily go back to viewing the old style profile pages without timeline, you just need to follow this simple guide:

http://fbpurity.com/disable-timeline

This method is safe and it really works, you can tell this because it has over 26,900 "likes" on the page, and hundreds of positive comments from people who have got it to work.

FB Purity has also been reviewed and highly rated in The Washington Post, CNET, Lifehacker and PCWorld
