How to you find friends on pinterest who are not your facebook friends?

I sent a few people emails to join and they either do not have facebook or I am not friends with them yet on facebook. Can I search and follow them on pinterest without being their facebook friend?

If you have their email you can enter it into the search bar at the top. Then when it yields no results near the top it will say Pins, Boards, People. Click people and you should find their account.
