What is the wikimedia foundation and how can I use the internet without it blocking me?

I keep trying to go to facebook and twitter and when i type them into the address bar, a website containing information about the wikimedia foundation appears. It's keeping me from finding facebook and twitter online with both firefox and google chrome. Any help? Thanks so much.

Hello.
I think someone has messed with your web-page settings. Of course you can change it back.
If you're on windows, then try opening this
C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
(preferably with notepad)
Then scroll down to the last line and then check there. It should have only one line saying localhosts or something like that. If there are other lines talking about some web pages (including facebook or twitter)
then you must erase those lines. Please refer to the source link for more info.

WMF has nothing to do with your problems. I'd suggest you run an antivirus software, uninstall your browsers then install them again. Also, only login on https sites. The one and only official address for Wikipedia is http://www.wikipedia.org.
