I liked him and it turns out we're family!?

This guy came into one of my classes in school as a new student and he reminded me of my boyfriend.... i kinda started to get warm feelings for him but then recently i found out that he's my second cousin so those feelings disappeared. I have this strong urge, however, of wanting to get close to him…like …. i want us to be best friends/best cousins. I want to approach him and tell him we're family but i don't want him to think i'm weird because i found out through facebook (i barely met him). We're not even friends on facebook, i just looked him up after i found out his name. I know, major stalker lol….. Should i just go up to him and straight up tell him "Hey guess what, i found out we're related " or what should i do? Give me advice! I want to finally have a cousin i'm close to. I just don't wanna seem weird to him lol. Thanks. How could i go about being friends with him when i'm super socially awkward??

Yeh just be like "you know this person?" Or "I'm related to this person too" and then be like hey we're family! Lol. But yeh, definitely just approach him and be like we are related.

Happened to me years ago by mistake...in Puerto Rico I met all these hot girls with green and grey eyes I got with one turned out to be a second cousin oh well....it happened we didn't do anything just kissed I was like 14 at the time...lol

Well.... that's actually really cool! you should start talking to him and ask him about his family and stuff, and like maybe wait a couple of days or weeks and then tell him your related to him..

i had the same experience. I'm related to my boyfriend and i found out a little too late.. i'm like his 4th aunt, its weird but we cant stop from being together..but yeah

Don't go straight up and say hey we're related" because that would be creepy..

Easy, friend him on Facebook or say you saw you had that person in common and ask how he knows him/her. If one of your relatives he know lives somewhere you can throw it in a conversation when he is near. Get friends to help you out. Or just start talking to him and work family into the conversation then bring up the person he knows.
