Why is Facebook asking for a security check?
Please complete a security check.
Security checks help keep Facebook trustworthy and free of spam. Use a phone to verify your account The phone number you use can only verify one account. Once you enter your number, you'll receive a code that you can enter on Facebook to verify your account. Your phone number will be added to your Timeline. You'll be able to choose who you share it with. To learn more about how information on your Timeline is used, visit our privacy policy. I don't have a phone, and they said If I don't have a phone then I need to provide my government issued ID. I don't have that either. I created another account with another email, and then they asked me this same thing. What's going on, am I being hacked or something? So what you're saying is facebook is phising me..? Ads |

This is a spam site that is trying to persuade you to divulge private information. Normally it is called phishing, which is run by criminals who want to steal your private data.
Change your Facebook password immediately then log out, and after restarting your computer, log back in again using the new password. Ads |

usually it only makes you go thru this when they detect you are breaking the rules by creating more than one account.... they want you do verify it so they can delete your other accounts

No, this is legit. It's just a way FB is cleaning up the accounts that have had recent hacking attempts, and those who are FB fakers.
