how to hide gender completely on facebook timeline?

When i want to change my gender on timeline, there are 2 options: Female and Male. I click the box "Don't show my gender on my timeline" but people still know my gender. I've tried the "Inspect element" but I didn't work. Is there any way to change my gender completely on Facebook timeline??
I did try account settings and it didn't work.

there are only 2 genders...

the "dont show my gender" option is the only way to hide it

I think that go to your timeline and click about. You find basic info. Edit basic Info and unchecked Show my sex on my timeline. Then your gender don't show.
