How can I add a link to my twitter, for example, on tumblr?

I would like to add a link to twitter right next to where you'd have the ask, rss, and archive links at the top of your tumblr - however, I'm lost.

Could you please help me out?

some themes do that, others dont. for example, mine:http://www.tumblr.com/theme/11420 lets you add custom links.

if you'd like to stick with your theme and it doesn't have that option, you can always use the html code in your about me description box,
