i hate him and i still can't get over him? .. how do i get rid of this guilt?

my ex cheated on me badly. i hate him, but i can't stop thinking about him and wondering what he might be doing, and how HAPPY he might be when im hurting so much all the time! he's not on my facebook, but i can see his activities. he's always changing his profile pictures, and his cover photos. i want to stop keeping track of his facebook activities but i can't help it! i know i have nothing to do with him anymore, but just seeing him, his pictures, gives me a peace of mind, and yet every time he updates his profile picture, i get really sad thinking how he doesn't even care about all the pain he put me through.

im tired of this. how do i get over him? i feel really guilty for wasting so much time with him, giving him all myself only to end up getting nothing in return. how do i get rid of this guilt?

i know how this feels, you hate them and love them at the same time,and yes my dear,you still love him despite what he did...you need to practice the "no contact rule"..its not easy and it takes time to heal,im also going through a break but ive been there before..

trust ive been through this before , with a guy i dated for a year . delete eveery picture of him on your phone or in a lbum just rip them , every letter everything he gave you throw away . have some guts and give his clothes back to him face to face . block him offf facebook of eeverything . try your best not to talk to your friends about him. its hard i know it really is . i didnt get over my ex until about 5 months . then i started dating this guy and we made a year 3 days ago , im sooo happy . i want to marry him. all you can do now is do what ii told you and PRAYYY PRAYYY PRAYYYYY that god helps you get over this situation . god will always be there

i have been through something similar to this; except with friends, rather than a real relationship. My ex best friend ditched me for some NEW KID but we had been best friends for 6 years which is a really long time. My ex best friend started being really mean to me, and i just couldn't believe that he used to be so kind but now hes just so mean and....undescribable. When i kept track of his facebook activity, it hurt me every time he would post pics/videos of him doing things with his new best friend and id find i couldn't stop looking at his fb timeline. Eventually he blocked me from seeing his wall, photos info and everything, just until i was just his fb friend, that took even more time getting over... Anyways, i have a new best friend and im happy but it did take me a long time to get over. Getting back to your situation, the point is, he cheated on you badly, which is a very bad thing, and you will get over him soon. Like the other user has stated, you should block him on facebook so you wont be tempted to keep track of his wall and potentially be hurt. Hope this helped
