How long do girls wait to respond to asking you on a date?
ok - I'm sorry, but i only had facebook, k? my phone is broken right now.
Basically, I said,

msg-1 "I'd like to get to know you better, and go on a date with you. Lately, I felt there was a connection between us, and I figure i'd ask a pretty gal on a date. =)."
msg-2 "Forgot to add s'all good whatever your feelings are. My massive ego will survive (and could probably use some deflating)"

In its grand respect to privacy, Facebook says she read msg-1....is she going to think about it? She's in her late 20s, and we went to college together but never dated, not bff, or fwb. sooo...i can understand her pov.....but...THOUGHTS??/
eh - i was trying to sound confident and save face in case she does say no.
i mean, i'm going out on a limb here too!!
@ Brett: isn't that the ENTIRE POINT of a date!??!?! gawd....forget yahoo. i'm just going to do my own thing.

Well, you should've left that ego comment out of the message. Seems kinda stuck up if you ask me.

if anything the ego part makes you sound a little desperate, and like you're lacking self confidence. if you guys didn't really know her too well and you haven't seen her in a while it's kind of creepy to be honest. she's likely trying to picture the two of you dating, if she'd have fun with you, and if you guys would be compatible at all.....to add onto this and answer your secondary question, many girls don't even want to waste their time going on a date unless they think you both would be compatible. the date kind of just confirms their feelings
