Facebook friend request help?

Okay, so maybe I am guilty of 'Facebook stalking,' lol but it only happened once. I was looking at my crush's page and accidentally sent a friend request but I canceled it like 10-20 seconds later. I know they might get an email saying I sent one, but I just want to know that if he has a smartphone, will the little plus sign person thingy one gets when they recieve a friend request go away? Or will it still be there with my name? Thank you for your help!

@Reckless Yes I guess you're right but I'm just nervous because he seems to like me and I wanted to wait a while before I added him but I guess there's nothing I can do now lol so thank you for the advice

Yes! if his phone number is on his facebook then he will get a text message on his phone telling him! but just send him one! end of the day you ain't gonna get anywhere if you don't. I know how you feel tho. But trust me the most exciting bit is talking to them.
