How can I make my facebook profile public?

I have been trying this for ages!

I have set "everyone " in priviacy settings, yet when someonoe I know looks up my profile(the person's not on my friends list) He can only see my friends list, but not my profile, even though I have it set to public.

This is really annoying me!

And hopefully someone here can help since there is no facebook support.

But why do you want to show off your profile to strangers? Some people can also send you spam. So it is good to show your profile only to friends.

To make your profile public:

1) Log in to Facebook.
2) Click "Settings" in the blue bar at the top
3) Find the section called "Privacy" and click "Manage"
4) Click "Profile" (the top option)

You should now see a list of options with pull down menus. The first one is called Profile.

5) Click the pull down menu and select "Everyone" from the list of options.

You can find more information about each of these pull down menus and exactly what they effect by clicking the question marks next to each one they look like this: "[?]"

I have been a facebook user for over 2months now and the only profile that will be visible to others when not login in facebook is your friends and your wall will not be visible to others. I further my research and come up to this:

"On facebook,you can't do that like myspace,which is why it has more privacy than myspace.If you dont adjust your settings at all,then all the people in your network will see it publically,but people out of your network still won't,because thats just how facebook privacy settings are."

I've been having the same problem.. I heard it only does that to minors..are you under 18? So, if you really want, you can try to change your birth year..
