I can't change my relationship status on Facebook?

I tried the profile > edit > changing relationship thing. But it says that the other is in a relationship when she is obviously not. I just joined to fb and it hates me alerady.

She has to give consent that she is in a relationship with you before it will change yours to say you are with her.

The person u r trying to Snd relationship request might have snd relationship request to other Person (sorry to say)
U can ask her to remove other person from relationship so after u r able to snd her relationship request
