How do I get facebook timeline? best answer?

I went to the FAQ on facebook and it told me to go to the "introducing timeline" page and click on "get timeline" but i dont have that option anywhere! please help!
the button isnt there! i just created my account yesterday. could this be the problem?

Go to a friend's page that has timeline and the "get timeline" or "find out more about timeline" button should be there

EDIT: if it's not there then try another internet browser(FireFox or Google Chrome) and make sure you don't have any add-ons that may accidentally block that thing.Disable AdBlockPlus add-on if you have it....

They are forcing everyone over to the timeline format, so in a few days or weeks they will switch it over for you automatically.

In the search bar search "facebook timeline" and it should come up, click the page and then click get timeline (something similar) and there you go you have the timeline

on your faceboook search type Introducing Timeline watch the video what is timeline if you want and down there is a button Get Timeline click on it then on your profile it will explain you every part of what is timeline if you want have a look at it or just ignore it and click on Publish!
