Receiving emails abroad on your BlackBerry?
I was wondering i have my facebook notification and personal emails set up to go straight to my BB. I am going on holiday and was wondering will i be charged for receiving them or do i only get charged when i open to view?

If so should i disable them before i go?

Don't need advice on roaming charges as i am fully aware of them.

What kind of bb do you have? if you have the world edition then I dont think so, if not, I would check by calling Verizon. Better be safe than sorry

Hello, it doesn't matter if you open them or not, you are going to be charged. That is because as long as your BB is receiving them, they will be counted and you will be charged. Best to do, is disabled them and check online from time to time at an internet cafe or if you are staying at a hotel, use the internet at the hotel. If there is no internet connection, go to a cafe. Its cheaper than paying for the data you are receiving via roaming. I do that myself. Whenever I am traveling, I let people who I want to contact me, to send me email at my BB emailing address. All my personal email for AOL, I disabled them until my return home. It can get pretty expensive, you know. Have a good trip ;-)

You're charged for things sent or received. So if you don't want to pay the roaming charges you should probably disable them.

Peace,
