what does this MEAN?! please help, really urgent!?
i was on facebook when my computer randomly shut down.. i turned it back on and there was this message about my computer being locked and basically that if i didn't pay 200 hundred dollars, i'd basically go to jail and have my computer taken away by the government...? it said somehting about illegally downloaded audio files had been found on my computer, but i always use itunes or freegal music (through my local library) to buy my music and my user on my family's shared computer has a password, plus there's no other children in my household and my parents never buy new music.

i was on facebook and i'd gotten this notification that a friend (one i wasn't close with) had sent me a free full-length video on some app...? i never clicked on it, so i dont know.

what should i do? it sounds serious but i havent done anything wrong. help please?

It's malware and a scam.

How to remove it:

You got a virus and it is serious but it is not really from the FBI. Suggest you get good AV program. I suggest Norton NIS.

It means you have a virus. This is a scam. The government isn't after you.

There's been a worm on Skype that has the same characteristics as this a message will pop up saying "omg is that your new profile pic ? " Or something like that it'll have a link that will infect your computer with the worm so if you or anyone else had something like that then that might be the case this link will explain more. http://www.theregister.co.uk/

What browser were you using?
It would be most helpful if we knew that.
