How can I convince my mom to let me have a Facebook?
She thinks I don't need one but I do. How can I convince her to let me have one?

tell her that you are old enough and tell her to get one as well so she can check that you are not doing anything wrong.

Okay first. it will not rot your brain.
Just sit down have a talk tell her your old enough to have one and its not going to interrupt your schooling or anything like that.

AND IF SHE IZ WORRIED YOUR GOING TO DO SOMETHING BAD.. just prove to her that your not going to talk dirty or anything like that.

I could tell you more if i knew the reason why she won't let u have one but Smile
yeah
I HOPE i helped(:
sorry if i didnt.

First off... you don't NEED one. You WANT one.

Once you can understand the difference between those two words, maybe your mother will think you are mature enough to handle it. Until then, I agree with your mom.

Well, if your mom doesn't really monitor your computer use, then you should be able to get an account without her knowing. However I wouldn't recommend doing that because it'll just give her a reason not to trust you in the future. Try telling her that facebook can help you connect with your friends and stay in touch with people and if she's worried about your safety tell her you'll set restrictions for who can and cannot view your account. Remind her that she can trust you and sooner or later she'll come around.
