How do you get a profile picture on this!?

Can't figure out how to put a picture up..

Your avatar can be a cartoon or a photo. You can also use your Facebook or Twitter avatar. For an animated gif you should make it your Twitter avatar first.

STEP 1.
In order for your avatar to appear you must make your Yahoo Profile visible. That is done here:

There is no reason to hide your profile. Nothing appears unless you enter it and turn a switch on. The name can be anything you want.

STEP 2.
If you want to use your Facebook or Twitter avatar be sure to link the sites in the Profile options.

STEP 3.
To create a cartoon avatar first go to http://avatars.yahoo.com and create one.

STEP 4.
Click on the default avatar in Y!A and select "edit my preferences".

Click on "update photo or avatar" and a small window will open.
You can select the cartoon, Facebook, or Twitter avatar or upload your own photo.
After clicking "use selected photo" be sure to click "submit".
The same photo will appear in the Yahoo Profile.

Ellie you can not have a picture or avatar with a hidden profile.

Your Profile is Hidden to make your avatar visible go here http://pulse.yahoo.com/y/settings click Manage Privacy Settings.
Move the second tab so it says Your profile is currently visible.

2 ways to do it. Go here , http://profile.yahoo.com top right click on the settings icon (looks like a gear)
On the next page click on the box where your ! avatar is. On the next page under your avatar click change picture.
From there you can make a avatar upload a image from your computer or import a picture from facebook.

Go to My Activity, top center, click Edit my Preferences then click Update Picture or Avatar, all your images will be displayed. Click on a image or avatar a orange box will appear around it,
you can remove it or select it as your display avatar. You can also upload new images from here.
