How do you go about filing an emergency custody order in the state of Louisiana without representation?

My step son is 10. My husband has joint custody of him with the mother but she is domicary parent. She has not had him for 6 months. He has lived with her grandmother while she is collecting child support. Now she is in jail with charges such as burglary, possession of narcotics, contributing to the delinquency ...etc. Now is the time to move but we can't afford an attorney. Any advice?
