I noticed facebook now has video calling. Do you need to use a microphone for it ?
My girlfriend wants to start video chatting me. So when i told her facebook has that option she wanted to know if she should get a microphone with her webcam. Should she?

A microphone is only needed if you want to hear each other.

as far as I know most computers come with some sort of built-in microphone. She should check her computer's specs. There are also external webcams that come with built-in microphones.
