State the facts, and only the facts, and you should be ok.

By the way, if it is written, on the internet or in any media it is libel not slander.

He can contact the sites and say that the picture is unauthorized and it will eb removed by them, but that is about the extent of it.

I have seen NUMEROUS people put up pictures with names, and under it write the amount fo child support they owe....mind you, they don't get into name calling etc, they simply state the facts.

It could cause you trouble. Why on earth would you air your personal trouble on facebook in the first place?

I'm not sure about any legal ramifications, but I wouldn't do it. He might think there's no use in paying child support now that the whole world thinks I'm a deadbeat anyway. Or, he just might decide to use this as an excuse not to pay support. Besides, I really don't think it's appropriate to air your dirty laundry publicly.

Nice try.

No purpose would be served to do that other than to embarrass him. It would also embarrass your daughters.

A more viable approach is to go back to court and ask the judge to garnish his pay.

Well.... the real question is this

Even if your opinion is correct

Do you have the money to defend yourself in a court of law?

Why not put FACT ($$ owed in Child Support) instead of Opinion (DeadBeat Dad)

now, the other problem is this: Do you have this man's approval to post his image? Believe it or not.. using a picture of someone without thier approval is violating intellectual property law

>... However, my ex-husband is dead-beat dad -- my son now 22 & we got divorced when this child was 1 year old --- he paid 1... count that actually as 1/2 of a child support payment

and that was it --- he never paid anything else

I don't disagree with your idea.. I am trying to answer your question

If you can back up your claim, you are ok. I would say, do not stoop to that level.
