Would you be offended or hurt if your mother said this on facebook?
She said under her info on Facebook that her granddaughter (my daughter) is the most wonderful blessing that has ever happened to her and my dad. Um... Anyone thinking what I am? What am I?

awe...you mean that you aren't a blessing?
Look, she's a gramma, mom's REALLY want to be grammas. They fawn all over their grandchildren. It doesn't mean you weren't a blessing. She just loves her granddaughter so much, just as you love your daughter so much. Everybody loves the baby. Don't worry about it. |

Don't be jealous. It's only natural for Grandmothers to be so overjoyed with the blessing you bestowed on them. If it really bothers you that much, than comment on her face book "What am I...LOL". Don't be mean, just make a joke out of it and your mother will then realize that. Your mother is not out to hurt you. It's just her way of saying what a great job you did on making her such a very please grandmother. You will always be first in her life, since you are her daughter and had her first. Now it is time for her to be there as "Grandma" Grand - meaning something more than good and ma - mother. Just like she is to you.

You're offended by that? Really? Wow. Yes, your daughter is more of a blessing to your mother then you were because 1) she doesn't have to be responsible for her, she can spoil her and it doesn't matter, she doesn't have to teach her. 2) she can have fun with her and then give her back! 3) she had to take care of you when you were a teenager, she doesn't have to deal with your daughter's crap, it's your problem.
Women become mothers so they can become grandmothers! |

I think that you are being childish. Being jealous of your daughter, Grandmothers always gush over their grandchildren, but its pretty petty of you to be offended by a facebook status.
