How do i stop getting status updates from certain people on facebook sent to my phone?

i don't wanna turn off facebook notifications altogether, i just don't want updates from certain people anymore.

While I'm not sure about being selective about facebook notifications sent to your phone, there is an option to just stop the sending altogether.

Log onto Facebook.
On the top right side there should be a downwards pointing arrow. Click that.
Then click Account Settings
On the left side, select Notifications and mouse on over to All Notifications
Now you'll have all these options to edit certain notifications.

Voila~!
You're all set!
